About Deadwood Connections
Deadwood Connections is your Connection to the Black Hills. Our Black Hills Cabins and Vacation Homes are located in the Northern Black Hills, near historic Deadwood, South Dakota. Deadwood is a National Historic Landmark and, with its colorful history and proximity to attractions like Mt. Rushmore and Crazy Horse Monument, it is becoming a huge vacation destination. Our goal is to give you a memorable vacation, by providing quality lodging, in one of our fully furnished, vacation homes.
Meet the Team

Jonna Kandolin
Deadwood Connections was founded by a native of Deadwood, South Dakota. Jonna Kandolin is a wife and mother of three very active teenagers. She has her Industrial Engineering degree from the South Dakota School of Mines and Technology but moved back to learn the family business at Black Hills Land and Title, Inc. Three children later, she took a leave of absence from the Title business to be a full-time mom and start her own business. Jonna is now in her 15th year with Deadwood Connections and loves the Black Hills and sharing it with her guests.

Keri Johnson
Keri Johnson has been with Deadwood Connections for 12 years. Keri lives in Deadwood and owns Stress Relief Massage in Deadwood. She is a licensed massage therapist and is the proud mom of 2 beautiful kids!

Jerry Newman
Jerry Newman has been with Deadwood Connections for 7 years. Jerry is originally from Deadwood and lives in Rapid City and enjoys the Black Hills every chance he can get. He is an avid fisherman, golfer and hunter!

Alissa Hopkins
For the past five years, Alissa has been a dedicated member of Deadwood Connections. Outside of work, she enjoys a full and active life with her husband, Robert, their children, Ayden and Jadyn, and their two playful puppy dogs, Daisy, and Cinch. As a family, they love to take vacations, camp, and fish—whenever time allows. One of their favorite spots in the Black Hills is a peaceful swimming hole in Sturgis, which is perfect for relaxing with the dogs. Whether camping, fishing, or boating, Alissa cherishes every opportunity to enjoy the beauty and adventure of the Black Hills with their loved ones.
Favorite Place in the Black Hills?
A little swimming hols in Sturgis. We live to take the puppy dogs there!

Bhumi Baumberger
Bhumi has been with Deadwood Connections for several years and brings a deep local connection to the role—born and raised in the Black Hills. With two children and six grandchildren, family and community are at the heart of everything they do.
Having lived in various places and traveled extensively, the Black Hills has always been home. Favorite pastimes include fishing year-round, summer camping, and exploring the scenic back roads throughout the Hills.
How long have you been with Deadwood Connections?

Aryca Baumberger
Aryca has enjoyed many fun and memorable years working alongside Jonna. A graduate of Lead High School, they later moved to Arizona to pursue studies at The Southwest Institute of Healing Arts before eventually returning home to the Black Hills.
Family is a central part of life, with three smart, kind, and accomplished children: Daryon, who lives in Fort Collins with her longtime partner Max after attending college in Riverton, Wyoming; Greyson, currently attending college at USD in Vermillion; and Abella, finishing her senior year at Lead High School.
Favorite places in the Black Hills include the family ranch where they grew up and the beautiful Pactola Lake. Free time is often spent on the water, camping, fishing, and making memories with the kids.
